Xu Duan improves blood circulation and is slightly warm which helps cold arthritic patterns and soft tissue traumas. It can also ease a restless fetus that is threatening to miscarry if the underlying pattern is cold in the uterus. It enters the liver and kidney system with a sweet quality to nourish hormone production from the adrenal glands.
