This herb is warm, sweet, and bitter. It enters the liver and kidney systems. The liver blood nourishes the tendons and ligaments which helps in patients with low back pain due to deficiency. Gou Ji also supports adrenal and gonadal function which contributes to tendon and ligament strength.
