CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:

Gan Jiang is acrid and hot. It enters the spleen, stomach, lung, and heart systems to treat cold patterns. Its stomach and spleen functions allow it to treat cold in the middle jiao coming from both deficiency and excess patterns.

Gan Jiang enters the lung system to treat conditions presenting with cold mucus that is typically thin and watery.

Gan Jiang can also treat hemorrhagic disorders when the cause is a yang deficiency pattern.
