Bai He is sweet, slightly bitter, and slightly cold. It enters the heart and lung system to treat deficiency heat patterns such as dry cough with heat signs that are typically worse at night.
Bai He treats yin deficiency patterns of the lung system and may be useful for chronic sore throat and heat signs that are worse in the evening including low grade fever.
Bai He can treat palpitations as it enters the heart system. Palpitations are any unusual symptom of the heart including discomfort. This can be related to an anxious feeling, insomnia, and irritability when there is heat from deficiency of yin.
