- Abdominal masses
- Food stagnation pain and distention
San Leng is acrid to get blood moving, bitter to drain and detoxify, and neutral. It enters the liver and spleen. It is often used with E Zhu which is better at moving the qi while San Leng is better at moving the blood.
San Leng has been used in the treatment of stomach cancer.

- Antitumor
- Masses in the abdomen
- Angina pain
- Poor lactation
- Enlargement of the spleen
- Menstrual irregularities
Contraindications: do not prescribe San Leng to pregnant patients or to patients that have bleeding disorders
