CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:

Bai Fan is sour, astringent, and cold. The cold property makes it useful on heat patterns and damp-heat patterns especially topically. It enters the large intestine, lung, liver, and spleen systems to treat disorders of the gastrointestinal tract such as diarrhea or bloody stool and it treats disorders of the lung such as cough.
