Tian Ma is sweet and neutral giving it a tonifying effect on the one organ system that it enters; the liver. This wonderful herb gets the liver qi and blood moving while eliminating wind. Although it is neutral, the Bensky Materia Medica claims that it also has a moistening and cooling effect on the liver.
