Bai Zi Ren is sweet and neutral. It enters the heart, kidney, and large intestine systems. Its sweet property allows it to nourish the yin and treats heart yin related pathologies such as palpitations, insomnia, forgetfulness, and night terrors in children (can be used alone for this function). Bai Zi Ren very likely supports normal thyroid function with these properties.
In the large intestine system, Bai Zi Ren supports yin related constipation especially in the elderly.
