Qian Niu Zi is acrid, bitter, slightly toxic, and cold. It breaks up phlegm, mucus, dampness, and water that has accumulation and drains it out through the urine and stool.

• Zhou Che Wan

Contraindications: do not prescribe Qian Niu Zi to pregnant patients or to patients that have a weak constitution, do not combine with Ba Dou
