# Zi Su Zi

### Perillae Fructus

_acrid, warm_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Regulate Qi**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Cough
- Wheeze
- Cough with phlegm
- Constipation

Zi Su Zi is acrid and warm. It enters the lung and large intestine
systems.

**Channels:** lung, large intestine

COMMON APPLICATIONS AND CLINICAL
POSSIBILITIES:
- Constipation
- Cough
- Rash
- Asthma
- Dyspnea

**Formulas:**
- Ding Chuan Tang
- San Zi Yang Qin Tang
- Su Zi Jiang Qi Tang

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Zi Su Zi with patients
that present with severe diarrhea due to severe qi deficiency
