# Zi Shi Ying

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Calm the Shen**_

- Menometrorrhagia
- Infertility

Zi Shi Ying is sweet and warm. It enters the liver and heart
systems. Its effect on the heart calms the shen and reduces
anxiety, palpitations, and sleep disorders. Its warming function
supports liver blood and treats uterine bleeding and infertility
when the cause is a cold pattern.

**Channels:** heart, liver

**Formulas:**
- Wen Yang Bu Gan Jian

**Contraindications:** very toxic, do not prescribe to patients
