# Yan Hu Suo

### Corydalis Rhizoma

_acrid, bitter, warm_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Circulate Blood**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Pain
- Dysmenorrhea

Yan Hu Suo is acrid to move and disperse qi and blood, bitter to
drain and detoxify, and warm to treat cold stagnations. It enters
the stomach, heart, and liver systems but can treat pain anywhere
in the body.

**Channels:** liver, stomach, heart

- Analgesia
- Antitumor
- Dysmenorrhea
- Menorrhagia
- Bladder disorders
- Sleep disorders
- Muscle spasms
- Angina pain

**Formulas:**
- Chen Xiang Jiang Qi Tang
- Ge Xia Zhu Yu Tang
- Jin Ling Zi San
- Ju He Wan
- Qi Zhen San
- Shao Fu Zhu Yu Tang
- Xiang Ai Xiong Gui Yin
- Yan Hu Suo Tang

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Yan Hu Suo to patients
that are pregnant
