# Xiao Hui Xiang

### Foeniculi Fructus

_acrid, warm_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Warm the Interior and Expel Cold**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Bulging disorders
- Lower abdominal pain
- Indigestion
- Loss of appetite
- Vomiting

Xiao Hui Xiang is acrid to disperse and break up and it is warm to
treat patterns that are cold. It enters the liver, stomach, spleen,
and kidney systems.

**Channels:** liver, stomach, spleen, kidney

POSSIBILITIES:
- Gastritis
- Dysmenorrhea
- Amenorrhea
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Hernia
- Antitumor

**Formulas:**
- Nuan Gan Jian
- Shao Fu Zhu Yu Tang
- Tian Tai Wu Yao San

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Xiao Hui Xiang to
patients that present with severe heat from deficiency patterns
