# Xiang Ru

### Moslae Herba

_acrid, aromatic, slightly warm_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Release the Exterior for Cold Attack**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Chills
- Fever
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Edema
- Urinary difficulty

Xiang Ru is acrid, aromatic, and slightly warm. It enters the lung
and stomach systems to treat cold attacks when there is no
sweating.

**Channels:** lung, stomach

COMMON APPLICATIONS AND CLINICAL
POSSIBILITIES:
- Diarrhea
- Edema
- Fever
- Headache
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Antimicrobial

**Formulas:**
- Xiang Ru San

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Xiang Ru to patients
that present with excess sweating
