# Wu Gong

### Scolopendra

_acrid, warm, toxic_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Extinguish Wind and Stop Tremor**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Convulsions
- Opisthotonos
- Lockjaw
- Seizures
- Nodulation
- Carbuncles
- Snake bites
- Lumps on the neck
- Headache

Wu Gong is toxic and must always be used with caution. Long
term use should be avoided and it should not be used with
pregnant patients.
The combination of acrid, warm, and toxic allows this herb to
powerfully enter the liver system and eliminate hepatoneurological
dysfunctions.

- Antimicrobial
- Anticoagulant
- Tumor inhibition
- Febrile seizures in childhood
- Joint tuberculosis
- Tremors
- Epilepsy
- Toothache
- Boils
- Skin ulcers
- Bug bites
- Hypotensive
- Antifungal (topically)

**Contraindications:** Wu Gong should not be prescribed to
patients that are pregnant, do not prescribe high doses as it is
toxic
