# Tian Men Dong

### Asparagi Radix

_bitter, sweet, very cold_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Tonify Yin**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Dry mouth
- Cough
- Dysglycemia
- Constipation

Tian Men Dong is sweet, bitter, and very cold. It enters the kidney
and lung systems to treat yin deficiency patterns.

**Channels:** lung, kidney

COMMON APPLICATIONS AND CLINICAL
POSSIBILITIES:
- Vomiting blood
- Coughing blood
- Dysglycemia
- Hypoadrenia
- Poor liver phase II
- Cough
- Night sweats
- Constipation
- Bronchitis

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Tian Men Dong to
patients that present with diarrhea due to poor digestive
function
