# Shi Wei

### Pyrrosiae Folium

_bitter, sweet, slightly cold_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Drain Dampness**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Burning urination
- Hematemesis
- Hematuria
- Menometrorrhagia
- Cough
- Wheeze

Shi Wei is bitter, sweet, and slightly cold. It enters the lung and
bladder systems to treat urinary disorders from damp heat
patterns. Its relationship to the lungs can be used to treat cough
with phlegm from damp heat.

- Biliary congestion
- Bronchitis
- Kidney stones
- Hematemesis
- Urinary tract infection
