# Shi Jun Zi

### Quisqualis Fructus

_sweet, warm_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Expel Parasites**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Roundworms
- Pinworms
- Malnourishment in children
- Abdominal distention
- Poor appetite
- Weakness

Shi Jun Zi is sweet and warm making it a nourishing herb for
children suffering from malabsorption especially when it’s due to
parasitic infection. It enters the stomach and spleen to focus
primarily on the gastrointestinal tract.

- Fatigue

**Formulas:**
- Fei Er Wan

**Contraindications:** too much Shi Jun Zi will irritate the
gastrointestinal tract resulting in vomiting and dizziness
