Shi Jue Ming is salty and cold. It enters the liver and kidney
systems. Its cold effect on the liver brings down heat patterns
with yang rising symptoms such as hypertension, headache, and
red eyes. According to the Bensky Materia Medica team it has a
liver yin tonifying effect which allows it to also treat the root of
the problem.
