# Shi Gao

### Gypsum Fibrosum

_acrid, sweet, very cold_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

- Red tongue with yellow coat

Shi Gao is acrid, sweet, and very cold. It enters the lung and
stomach systems to treat pathologies that are very hot in nature.

Shi Gao is known for treating the yangming stage of disease that
presents with the four bigs: big pulse, big fever, big thirst, and big
sweating. There are no chills in this stage of pathogenic effect.
