# Shan Yao

### Dioscoreae Rhizoma

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Tonify Qi**_

- Urinary frequency

Shan Yao is sweet and neutral. It enters the kidney, lung, and
spleen systems. Its sweet characteristic allows it to nourish and
improve functions allowing it to treat conditions due to deficiency
patterns.
