# Sang Ji Sheng

### Taxilli Herba

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Dispel Wind-Dampness**_

Sang Ji Sheng enters the liver and kidney systems. It is bitter,
sweet, and neutral. Its sweet property has a yin tonifying effect
and in some resources is categorized as a yin tonic. It is this aspect
that helps patients with dry scaly skin.
It has a positive effect on blood flow by opening up the blood
vessels. This characteristic helps patients with angina and pain
caused by blood stagnation. Its movement through the body is
gentle enough to calm a restless fetus and improve lactation for
mothers with poor milk production.
