# San Qi

### Notoginseng Radix

_sweet, slightly bitter, warm_

San Qi is sweet, slightly bitter, and warm. It enters the liver and
stomach systems. San Qi is considered the number one herb for
injuries. It is unique in that it moves the blood while at the same
time it stops bleeding. It is likely a major component of the secret
formula Yunnan Baiyao that is famous for stopping bleeding but
the exact ingredients and amounts are an unknown treasure.
