# Rou Cong Rong

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Rou Cong Rong is sweet, salty, and warm. It enters the kidney and
liver systems to tonify the yang. Its warming function can treat
infertility when the cause is cold in the womb. The warming
quality also helps with patients that suffer from pain due to cold
deficiency patterns especially in the low back and knees.

Rou Cong Rong supports hormone function from the adrenal
glands and gonads to further treat infertility, vaginal discharge,
erectile dysfunction, and excess urination.
The salty quality helps both with the urinary issues and with
constipation.

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Rou Cong Rong to
patients that have diarrhea from weak upper gastrointestinal
function, do not prescribe to patients that have heat patterns
from deficiency of yin
