# Qing Hao

### Artemisiae Annuae Herba

_acrid, bitter, cold_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Clear Deficiency Heat**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Fever
- Stifling in the chest
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Rashes
- Epistaxis
- Malarial disorders

Qing Hao is bitter and cold. It enters the gallbladder, liver, and
kidney systems to cool the blood from yin deficient heat patterns.

**Channels:** kidney, liver, gallbladder

- Alternating chills and fever
- Five palm heat
- Heat exhaustion
- Bleeding disorders
- Antimicrobial
- Jaundice
- Scabies
- Rash
- Asthma

- Hao Qin Qing Dan Tang
- Qing Gu San
- Qing Hao Bie Jia Tang

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Qing Hao to patients
that present with poor digestive function
