# Qin Pi

### Fraxini Cortex

_bitter, cold_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Clear Heat and Dry Dampness**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Diarrhea
- Dysentery
- Vaginal discharge
- Red swollen painful eyes
- Visual floaters
- Arthritis
- Cough

Qin Pi is bitter, astringent, and cold. It enters the stomach, liver,
large intestine, and gallbladder systems. Its primary use is
treatment of damp-heat pathologies.

**Channels:** liver, stomach, large intestine, gallbladder

- Disorders of the gastrointestinal tract
- Antimicrobial
- Low blood pressure
- Joint pain
- Physical trauma
