# Pu Huang

### Typhae Pollen

_acrid, sweet, neutral_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Stop Bleeding**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Bleeding trauma
- Uterine bleeding
- Vomiting blood
- Nosebleed
- Coughing blood
- Blood in urine
- Blood in stool
- Subcutaneous bleeding
- Chest pain
- Postpartum abdominal pain
- Menstrual pain
- Hot painful urinary dribbling

Pu Huang is sweet, acrid, and neutral. It enters the liver, heart,
and spleen systems to stop bleeding.

**Channels:** liver, heart, spleen

- Antitumor
- Pain in the abdomen
- Angina pain
- Dyslipidemia
- Eczema
- Asthma
- Menorrhagia

**Formulas:**
- Qi Zhen San
- Shao Fu Zhu Yu Tang
- Shi Xiao San
- Xiao Ji Yin Zi
- Yan Hu Suo Tang

**Contraindications:** Pu Huang should be prescribed
cautiously to patients that are pregnant
