# Pi Pa Ye

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Relieve Cough and Wheeze**_

- Wheeze
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Hiccough
- Belching

Pi Pa Ye is bitter and neutral. It enters the lung and stomach
systems. Pi Pa Ye treats conditions of the lung especially when the
pattern is due to heat or dryness.

POSSIBILITIES:
- Asthma
- Bronchitis
- Cough
- Gastritis
- Vomiting
- Antimicrobial

Formulas:
- Qing Zao Jiu Fei Tang
- Xin Yi Qing Fei Yin

**Contraindications:** prescribe Pi Pa Ye cautiously to patients
with cough or vomit due to cold patterns
