# Mu Li

Mu Li is salty to reduce nodules, astringent to restrain leakage,
and cool to treat heat related patterns. It enters the liver and
kidney systems.

Mu Li is rich with minerals that calm the sympathetic nervous
system and support thyroid function.

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Mu Li to patients that
present with high fever with absence of sweating
