# Man Jing Zi

### Viticis Fructus

_acrid, bitter, cool_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Release the Exterior for Heat Attacks**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Headache
- Common cold
- Eye pain
- Visual floaters
- Red eyes
- Stiffness of the limbs
- Numbness of the limbs
- Cramping
- Heaviness of the limbs

Man Jing Zi is acrid to disperse the exterior, bitter to drain, and
cool to treat heat patterns. It enters the liver, stomach, and
bladder systems.

**Channels:** liver, stomach, bladder

COMMON APPLICATIONS AND CLINICAL
POSSIBILITIES:
- Arthritis
- Headache
- Influenza
- Antitumor
- Disorders of the eye

**Formulas:**
- Qiang Huo Sheng Shi Tang

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Man Jing Zi with the
Aconitum family of botanical medicines or with Shi Gao
