# Ma Chi Xian

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Clears Heat and Resolves Toxicity**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Dysentery
- Hot painful bloody urination
- Constipation
- Sores
- Carbuncles
- Vaginal discharge
- Snakebite
- Wasp stings
- Uterine bleeding

Ma Chi Xian is sour and cold. It enters the liver and large intestine
systems to treat heat pattern pathologies. It can also be used
topically for red swollen wasp and snake bites or for red swollen
genitals.

Internally, Ma Chi Xian is used to treat diarrhea, burning
urination, and vaginal discharge from heat patterns.

**Channels:** liver, large intestine

- Leukorrhea; with blood
- Skin sores
- Diarrhea
- Hemafecia
- Snake bites
- Wasp stings
- Antimicrobial
- Diuresis

- Vaginal discharge

**Contraindications:** Ma Chi Xian should not be prescribed to
patients that are pregnant
