# Kuan Dong Hua

### Farfarae Flos

_acrid, warm_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Relieve Cough and Wheeze**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Cough
- Wheeze

Kuan Dong Hua is acrid and warm. It only enters the lung system
to treat cough from many different etiologies.

**Channels:** lung

COMMON APPLICATIONS AND CLINICAL
POSSIBILITIES:
- Asthma
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Fever

**Formulas:**
- Ding Chuan Tang
- Jiu Xian San
- She Gan Ma Huang Tang

**Contraindications:** prescribe Kuan Dong Hua cautiously to
patients that present with hemoptysis
