# Ji Xue Teng

### Spatholobi Caulis

Ji Xue Teng is bitter, sweet, and warm. It enters the heart, liver,
and spleen systems to drain out cold blood stagnation patterns
while at the same time nourishing the blood.

Ji Xue Teng can treat numbness in the extremities because it both
nourishes and moves the blood. It is particularly useful for the
treatment of wind damp patterns and for treating the elderly who
suffer from weakness in the extremities.

**Contraindications:** Ji Xue Teng should not be prescribed to
patients with menorrhagia
