# Huo Ma Ren

### Cannabis Semen

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Laxative that Drains Downward**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Constipation
- Sores
- Ulcerations

Huo Ma Ren is especially useful with patients that present with
yin deficient dry hard stool resulting in constipation. Its primary
effect is on the gastrointestinal tract and enters the large intestine,
stomach, and spleen systems.

It can also be used topically on sores and ulcerations.

**Channels:** large intestine, stomach, spleen

- Mucosal lining; heals

- Da Ding Feng Zhu
- Ma Zi Ren Wan
- Qing Zao Run Chang Tang
- Rou Fu Bao Yuan Tang
- Run Chang Wan
- San Jia Fu Mai Tang
- Si Wu Ma Zi Ren Wan
- Zhi Gan Cao Tang

**Contraindications:** Huo Ma Ren should not be prescribed to
patients in high amounts
