# Hu Po

Hu Po is sweet and neutral. It enters the bladder, heart, and liver
systems to calm the shen.

- Abdominal masses
- CAD
- Blood in the urine
- Mood disorders
- Muscle spasms
- Dysuria
- Urethral pain
- Urinary tract infection

**Formulas:**
- Dao Chi Qing Xin Tan
- Zhi Bao Dan

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Hu Po to patients with
deficiency heat patterns
