# Huang Jing

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Tonify Qi**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Apathy
- Fatigue
- Poor appetite
- Dry mouth
- Loss of taste
- Dry stools
- Dry red tongue
- Cough
- Low back pain
- Weakness of the lower extremities
- Dysglycemia

Huang Jing is sweet and neutral. It enters the lung, spleen, and
kidney systems to tonify and improve function.

**Channels:** lung, kidney, spleen

- Low blood pressure
- Hypothyroid

**Formulas:**
- Yi Yin Jian

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Huang Jing to patients
with poor digestive function
