# Hua Shi

### Talcum

_sweet, bland, cold_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Drains Dampness**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Urinary tract disorders
 - Painful urination
 - Scanty urination
- Diarrhea
- Fever
- Thirst
- Yellow tongue coat
- Irascibility
- Eczema

Hua Shi enters the bladder and the stomach systems. It is sweet,
bland, and cold to treat damp-heat patterns of the lower jiao.

**Channels:** stomach, bladder

- Urinary tract infections
- Abdominal distention
- Fever
- Epistaxis
- Edema
- Diuretic
- Eczema
- Dysuria
- Gastritis
- Diarrhea

- Dao Chi Qing Xin Tang
- Fang Feng Tong Sheng San
- Gan Lu Xiao Du Dan
- Liu Yi San
- Mie Di Zhi Yang Tang
- San Ren Tang
- Shi Wei San
- Xiao Ji Yin Zi
- Zhu Ling Tang
- Zi Xue Dan

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Hua Shi to patients that
present with spermatorrhea or patterns of spleen qi deficiency
or heat patterns injuring fluids, prescribe with caution to
patients that are pregnant
