# He Huan Pi

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

- Forgetfulness
- Trauma
- Abscesses

He Huan Pi is sweet and neutral. It enters the heart and liver
systems to calm the shen for emotional upset and support normal
sleep. Its sweet property is nourishing to the liver and calming to
the shen.

**Channels:** heart, liver

COMMON APPLICATIONS AND CLINICAL
POSSIBILITIES:
- Angina pain
- Abscesses internally and externally
- Mood swings
- Premenstrual syndrome
- Poor appetite
- Physical trauma

**Contraindications:** He Huan Pi should be prescribed
cautiously to patients that are pregnant
