# Dan Dou Chi

### Sojae Semen Preparatum

_acrid, bitter, sweet, cool_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Release the Exterior for Heat Attack**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Irritability
- Chest pressure
- Insomnia
- Common cold

Dan Dou Chi is slightly bitter, sweet, and can be either cold or
warm depending on how it is prepared. It enters the stomach and
lung systems to treat exterior attacks and is especially useful for
treating patient with an underlying yin deficiency pattern.

**Channels:** lung, stomach
