# Da Qing Ye

### Crotonis Fructus

_bitter, salty, very cold_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Clears Heat and Resolves Toxicity**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Skin irritations
 - Maculae
- Epidemic diseases
 - Fever
 - Delirium
 - Irritability
 - Vomiting

Da Qing Ye enters the stomach, lung, and heart systems. It is
bitter, salty, and slightly cold. This herb is useful in epidemic
disorders that affect the qi level all the way to the blood level.

**Channels:** lung, stomach, large intestine

- Gastritis
- Fever
- Antimicrobial
- Encephalitis
- Hepatitis
- Measles
- Cold and flu
- Herpes

**Contraindications:** Da Qing Ye should not be prescribed to
patients that have cold in the stomach from spleen yang
deficiency
