# Chi Fu Ling

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Drain Dampness**_

CLASSICAL MANIFESTATIONS:
- Urinary difficulty
- Edema
- Diarrhea
- Poor appetite

Chi Fu Ling is a drain dampness herb much like Fu Ling however,
it’s especially useful in treating dampness when there is also blood
stagnation patterns. It is sweet, bland, and slightly cool. It enters
the heart, spleen, and kidney systems to treat urinary difficulty
with excess dampness.

**Channels:** heart, spleen, kidney

COMMON APPLICATIONS AND CLINICAL
POSSIBILITIES:
- Urinary tract infection
- Urinary difficulty
- Diarrhea
- Dysentery
- Rash

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Chi Fu Ling to patients
with spermatorrhea, excess urination, or prolapse of urogenital
organs
