# Ce Bai Ye

### Platycladi Cacumen

_bitter, astringent, slightly cold_

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

 - Bleeding gums
 - Hemoptysis

 - Dysentery with blood
 - Blood streaked sputum
- Burns
- Hair loss

Ce Bai Ye is bitter, astringent, and slightly cold. It enters the large
intestine, liver, and lung systems.

Its entry into the gastrointestinal tract through the large intestine
system combined with its astringent property allows Ce Bai Ye to
treat many bleeding disorders of the digestive system.

Ce Bai Ye is considered branch treatment for bleeding disorders
and should be combined with other herbs to treat the root
diagnosis.
