# Bai Mao Gen

### Imperatae Rhizoma

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Stop Bleeding**_

- Bleeding disorders
 - Hematuria
 - Hemoptysis
 - Hematemesis
 - Epistaxis
- Urinary tract disorders
 - Urinary dribbling
 - With pain
 - Edema
 - Urinary difficulty
- Nausea
- Thirst
- Wheezing

Bai Mao Gen is cold and sweet. It enters the lung, stomach, small
intestine, and bladder systems. Its cold nature allows it to treat
bleeding disorders that arise from heat patterns.

It is especially useful in treating pathologies of the lung system
which includes epistaxis for which it is considered the number
one herb. Its sweet property nourishes lung yin.

Bai Mao Gen enters the bladder system to treat heat related
bleeding presenting with urinary tract disorders. This includes
blood in the urine, hot painful urine, dark urine, and difficulty
urinating.

**Contraindications:** Bai Mao Gen should not be prescribe to
patients that present with poor digestive function due to cold
deficiency
