# Bai Ji

#### PRIMARY FUNCTION:

_**Stop Bleeding**_

- Bleeding disorders
 - Hemoptysis
 - Hematemesis
 - Epistaxis
 - Physical trauma
- Skin disorders
 - Sores
 - Ulcers
 - Chapped skin

Bai Ji is bitter, sweet, and cool. It enters the stomach, lung, and
liver systems to stop bleeding. Its bitter quality drains and
eliminates warm patterns that cause bleeding while its sweet
nature can treat deficiency related bleeding.

**Channels:** lung, stomach, liver

COMMON APPLICATIONS AND CLINICAL
POSSIBILITIES:
- Dry skin
- Chaffing of the skin
- Nosebleed
- Esophageal varices
- Bleeding ulcers
- Gastritis
- Burns
- Antimicrobial

**Contraindications:** do not prescribe Bai Ji to patients with
excess conditions as Bai Ji has astringent properties, do not
combine Bai Ji with the following herbs: Cao Wu, Chuan Wu, Fu
Zi, Hai Piao Xiao, Wu Tou
